Brazil and Europe have formed a collaboration to develop RISC-V technologies, aiming for advancements in supercomputing and artificial intelligence. The project involves creating a Matrix Multiplication Acceleration Unit integrated with a RISC-V processor. The partnership includes the ELDORADO Institute, UNICAMP, and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and is part of the PPI-Softex program, supported by the MCTI. This agreement strengthens technological ties between Brazil and the European Union and underscores Brazil’s commitment to global development in this area.
